The Iron Family is a romantic comedy about family, life, and the hardships of the Cheongryeom Laundry. After Lee Da Rim’s father’s sudden death, the family struggles to make ends meet.
Lee Da Rim, the youngest of three children in a laundry shop family, exudes a vibrant personality. At the young age of fourteen, she was diagnosed with a rare eye disease that gradually steals her sight. Due to her family’s financial situation, Da Rim was not provided proper healthcare. Yet, Da Rim’s determination to seize life before darkness descends is nothing short of inspiring.
She embarks on a quest to read every book. She also watches as many movies as possible. This is a testament to her unwavering spirit. Just as Da Rim’s world is about to plunge into darkness, a surprising figure steps into her life. Seo Gang Ju, a college alumnus and the son of a conglomerate family, who reappears out of the blue. Their relationship takes a complicated turn due to a careless slip of the tongue. Gang Ju finds himself in a situation where Da Rim misunderstands him. He can’t figure out how to confess his true feelings to Da Rim. To Gang Ju’s dismay, he is not the only person interested in Da Rim. Cha Tae Woong is Da Rim’ ‘s overprotected neighbor. She longs to see what he looks like.

One day, a glimmer of hope appears on the horizon for Da Rim. She discovers a possibility for her to regain her vision through an expensive surgery that she can’t afford. Nonetheless, fate takes an unexpected turn. Her grandparents stumble upon something unfathomable while searching for wild herbs in the hills. Will this discovery be the key to restoring Da Rim’s sight?
