Through The Darkness

Through the Darkness Trailer

Through the Darkness has 12 Episodes that run for 60 minutes.

Ha Young {KIM NAM GIL} is a South Korean police officer who was tapped to be one of the first criminal behavioral analysts in his police department. Young Soo {JIN SEON KYU} is the Chief Forensic Scientist at NFS. Young Soo believes so strongly that the police department needs to implement a Criminal Behavioral Analysts Department that he stepped down from his position with the NFS to spearhead the program. Ha Young was the first officer Young Soo recruited for his team. With sheer determination, the two of them forged forward to support the Special Crime Squad without the support or belief of the department. Ha Young became the first crime profiler using criminal psychology, introducing the police organization to a different way to solve non-traditional crimes. Through the Darkness is a thriller that will have you closing your eyes and talking to the television. It’s been a while since I actively warned the character in a series. Will Ha Young lose himself in the search for justice?

The Gangster, The Cop, The Devil….

Because there are times when you just want to watch a movie! As much as I love my Korean dramas every now, and then I need a quick fix in the form of a Korean film. So, let’s talk about the gangster, the cop, and the devil action-packed non-stop excitement! I must admit I have watched MA Dong-Seok, Kim Mu-yeol, and Kim Sungkyu in The Gangster, The Cop, The Devil at least three times. Actual events inspired the storyline.

The movies never get old; the action, acting, and background music nicely ties everything together. The film tells the story of an unlikely victim who survivor; and the only eyewitness of a serial killer who is brutally, randomly killing people in Seoul, Korea.

The cop will stop at nothing to bring this savage killer to justice. It becomes a race against time. Who will catch the devil first? Will it be the gangster or the cop, or will they come together and put their past behind them to ensure there are no further victims at the hands of this ruthless serial killer.

CRIME PUZZLE

As I searched frantically for something to watch, I stumbled upon the K-drama Crime Puzzles on VIKI! I was pleasantly surprised. The show had everything action, mystery, murder, intrigue, religion, and love. I binge-watched all ten episodes in two days. I couldn’t look away! It’s been a long time since I found a Korean mystery/thriller drama with twists and turns in the plots that kept me on the edge of my seat; I couldn’t figure out what direction the series was actually going to take. Yoon Kye Sang, and Go Ah Sung, perform the drama’s principal roles.

Yoon Kye Sang Go Ah Sung

Yoo Hee (Go Ah Sung) is a young police officer studying to be a criminal profiler whose father is suddenly murdered in a series of killings that appears to be random. After her father’s death, Han Seung Min (Yoon Kye Sang), a highly respected high-profile forensic psychologist consulting with the police, an ex-boyfriend of Yoo Hee, Han Swung Min, confess to the crime of killing her father!

Yoo Hee does not believe that Han Seung Min killed her father. Little does Yoo Hee know that Han Seung Min is trying to ensure that she is safe and free of danger even if he has to go to prison to do! This does not make sense on any level; She sets out to prove Han Seung Min’s innocence.

Let’s Call Him a Quadruple Threat Kim Hyun Joong

Kim Hyun Joong is a South Korean singer and actor. Born on June 6, 1986, Kim Hyun Joong is one of the lead singers and leading rappers for SS501. He made his acting debut in 2005 and starred as Yoon Ji Hoo in the 2009 hit television drama “Boys Over Flowers,” starring alongside Lee Min Ho, Kim Bum, and Kim Joon that propelled him to a household name. Kim Hyun Joong is a triple threat; he sings, dances, and plays multiple instruments and acting. Let’s call him a quadruple threat. I forgot to mention that he also wrote most of his music for his solo career.

He also has starred in a fan favorite, “Playful Kiss” (2010), for which he won the Popularity Award at the 45th Baeksang Arts Awards and “Inspiring Generation” (2014). Kim Hyun Joong was my favorite in boys over flowers. I was actually rooting for him to get the girl. Although we haven’t seen him acting on the small screen, you can still catch him performing in concert or video. I hope to see him on the small screen again as he is an outstanding actor in addition to being a brilliant musician.

Yeo Jin Goo One Korean Actors I follow Religiously

Yeo Jin Goo is an award-winning South Korean actor who starred in many popular dramas and films as a child actor. Born on August 13, 1997, he began his career in the hit films “Sad Movie” (2005). I cried so much watching Sad movies and fell in love with the child star; he brings out so much emotion with his acting ability at such a young age.
The following popular dramas were “Giant” (2011), “A Tree With Deep Roots” (2011), “The Moon Embracing the Sun” (2012). In the Moon Embracing the Sun, the child stars draw you. In my opinion, Yeo Jin Goo, Kim Yu Jeong, and KIM SO HYUN laid the foundation for the older actors to carry the series.
Again, the trio worked together in “ I Miss You” (2012), providing another outstanding performance. This young man has an unnatural acting ability that pulls you in for the emotional rollercoaster. I cannot wait until his next show is aired. I have watched him grow up on television with a smile that lights up every scene. As Yeo Jin Goo transitions from a child star into an adult actor, the quality of his work has only improved. Check out some of his most recent hits.
